Located on Sakarya Street in Alaçatı, within İzmir province's Çeşme district, Pazaryeri Mosque stands as one of Alaçatı's most distinctive historical landmarks. Constructed in 1874 by architect Yuhannis Halopas, the building was originally opened as the Church of Ayios Konstantinos. It is also referred to as the 'Church of Mary' in honor of Saint Mary. As one of three major churches built for the local Greek population, its survival as the sole remaining church makes it exceptionally valuable, both architecturally and historically. Following the declaration of the Republic, the building was converted into a mosque. Remarkably, this transformation was carried out with great care to preserve the church's original character, allowing two faiths to coexist under one roof. The building features a three-nave basilical plan, constructed using rubble stone masonry. Its vaulted superstructure is topped with a barrel roof over the central nave and lean-to roofs over the side naves. A two-story narthex, complete with galleries, partially extends into the north and south naves. The original iconostasis has been carefully preserved, while a mihrab (prayer niche) was added facing south. A cut-stone minaret with a single balcony, accessible from the exterior, was a later addition. Extensive restoration work, led by the Alaçatı Municipality between 2009 and 2010, brought to light hidden icons, religious depictions, and the original altar section. Today, the building serves both as an active place of worship and a vibrant cultural heritage site, welcoming visitors free of charge.

Arkas Art Alaçatı, the fifth art center of the Arkas Collection which plays a leading role in Izmir's cultural life, welcomes art enthusiasts in a restored traditional stone building on Kemalpaşa Street in Alaçatı, a charming town within Çeşme. Brought to life through a collaboration between Arkas and Çeşme Municipality, the center harmoniously blends the sophistication of an art gallery with Alaçatı's intimate spirit, featuring high-ceilinged and spacious exhibition areas. Offering a wide range of temporary and permanent exhibitions, from painting and sculpture to photography and site-specific installations, the center will host a special selection of works by Claire Arkas during the 2026 summer season. Working in coordination with Arkas Art Center (Kordon), the venue serves as a vibrant meeting place, providing not only thematic exhibitions but also artist talks, film screenings, and workshops for all age groups. Located within walking distance of Alaçatı bazaar's central points, the art center offers visitors not only an aesthetic experience but also an interactive atmosphere that encourages thought and inquiry. The venue is open to visitors free of charge on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, from 10 AM to 6 PM.

The Church of Aya Triada is a historic Greek Orthodox church featuring a three-nave basilica plan. It is located in the Yeni Mecidiye Neighborhood of Alaçatı Town, within the Çeşme District of İzmir Province. Construction of the building commenced in 1861 but was halted due to tax issues. Work restarted in 1870 and was completed by 1872. Its architect was Emanuel Kalonaris; following his passing, Markos Lampaditis of Tinos took over the construction. The intricate marble work was crafted by Nikholaos Halepas, while decorative frescoes were painted by masters from various Aegean islands. The church was unfortunately demolished a few years after the population exchange, with only its wall remnants standing today. On the eastern facade, the surviving protrusions of the main apse and pastophorion spaces, along with the black, white, and red pebble mosaic floor featuring geometric compositions outside the apse, serve as a testament to the once exceptionally high-quality craftsmanship of the structure. Despite its current ruined state, the structure was registered in 2006 as a first-degree immovable cultural property requiring protection. It remains one of the most significant witnesses to Alaçatı's rich 19th-century architectural heritage.

Nestled in Fenerburnu Bay (on the Çiftlikköy road) in İzmir's Çeşme district, Balıklı Köşk is a unique private property belonging to Mehmet Ali Gökçeoğlu, a businessperson and map and cadastral engineer. Its defining feature, which has earned it global renown, is the colossal 50-meter-long sea aquarium that replaces traditional garden walls. This aquarium is home to over 400 marine creatures native to the Aegean Sea, including sea bass, sea bream, grouper, striped seabream, octopus, and moray eels. To ensure the fish remain healthy in their natural environment, fresh seawater is continuously pumped through pipes from 400 meters offshore and 50 meters deep. Visitors are strictly prohibited from feeding the fish, and the entire maintenance system operates automatically; it's noted that the upkeep cost for each fish in the aquarium exceeds 20,000 TL. Though not a commercial establishment or museum, this private residence has become an indispensable stop for tourists, thanks to the owner's generosity in allowing external viewing. It has even been featured by Japanese and numerous European television channels as one of the world's most fascinating homes.

The Çeşme Archaeology Museum is located within the historic Çeşme Castle in the Çeşme district of İzmir. The castle was originally built by the Genoese in the 15th century and later expanded and converted into an Ottoman fortress between 1508-1509 during the reign of Sultan Bayezid II. This rectangular-plan castle, showcasing both Genoese and Ottoman architectural styles, remains one of the most significant surviving castles in Western Anatolia. The museum acquired its current identity when the castle, originally opened as a weapon museum in 1965, was reorganized and transformed into an archaeology museum in 1984. Its exhibition halls display rare artifacts such as handmade pottery from the Bronze Age Bağlararası settlement, finds from Anatolia's oldest winery, and statues, figurines, and coins from the ancient city of Erythrai. Among the museum's other prominent sections are an exhibition hall dedicated to the 1770 Ottoman-Russian Naval Battle and a hall showcasing amphorae recovered from the sea. Visitors can enter the museum free of charge with a MuseumPass, while the standard admission fee is 130 TL. It is open daily from 08:30 to 17:30.

The Yıldız Site Church Ruins are located in İzmir Province's Çeşme District, specifically in the Sakarya Neighborhood, right beside the Yıldız Holiday Site. Situated on treasury land, this structure is an 18th-century single-nave church ruin dating back to the Ottoman period. Only the apse section has survived intact up to its vaulted roof; it features a central window and three skylights in its upper part. Small niches are present on both sides of the apse, and the structure was built using a rubble masonry technique with semi-processed stones. The nave's side walls were later reconstructed to a height of approximately one meter. While protected among the sites in the region, this historical ruin remains vulnerable to natural degradation. It stands as a significant cultural trace, shedding light on Çeşme's Greek-era architectural heritage and bearing witness to history.

The Çeşme Museum of Urban Memory is a unique cultural space established to preserve and pass on the town's rich heritage, living traditions, and daily life for future generations. Housed in a carefully restored historic building overlooking the sea, the museum showcases traditional attire, weaving looms, agricultural tools, old photographs, and everyday artifacts to its visitors. Many items in its collection have been donated by local residents, fostering a deep and intimate bond between the museum and the community. Audio and visual presentations allow visitors to witness firsthand accounts of life in Çeşme over the decades, offering a unique window into the town's social history and community life. Established by the Çeşme Municipality to highlight local culture and history, the museum prides itself on offering a small, warm, and intimate atmosphere, rather than being a large, high-tech facility. The Ayios Haralambos Church, located in the heart of Çeşme district, İzmir province, is a highly original structure due to its unique plan and decorations. Built in 1832 and dedicated to Saint Haralambos, the church served as a Greek Orthodox place of worship. It features a three-nave, east-west oriented basilica plan, and its now-lost arched narthex reflected the architectural style of its era. To highlight the apse and the main prayer area, the central nave was constructed higher than the side naves. The central nave's vault is adorned with depictions of Christ Pantocrator, Saint John, Mary, and the infant Jesus in her lap, all rendered in exceptionally vibrant colors and framed within medallions. Comprehensive restoration efforts, spearheaded by Çeşme Municipality with funding from the İzmir Provincial Special Administration, began in 2010 and were completed in May 2012. Since then, the building has served as a vibrant Culture and Arts Center. With a capacity of 150-200 people, the former church hosts a variety of events, including concerts, exhibitions, and talks. Its dazzling frescoes continue to captivate both local and international tourists. As of 2025, general admission is free. However, tickets may be required for special events and exhibitions.

Dalyanköy Church is a 19th-century historical structure located in Dalyan Neighborhood, Çeşme District, İzmir Province. The church, currently owned by Sabri Tiryaki, has recently undergone an extensive restoration process, restoring it to its original character. The building features a rectangular plan and a gabled roof, constructed using stone masonry and covered with tiles. All facades, except the east, feature a door flanked by a window on each side; the doors and windows are designed with pointed arches. Three pointed-arched windows are located under the eaves on both the north and south facades. A round window is situated above the door on the west facade. On the east facade, there is one round window on the apse's eastern face and three on the pediment. The five-sided apse is one of the building's most architecturally striking features. Dalyanköy Church retains its historical and cultural significance as an authentic example reflecting the region's Greek-era architectural heritage.
