عن المكان

The Ottoman Bath, located in the northwest corner of Chios Castle, is an authentic structure dating back to the early 18th century and is one of the island's most significant historical sites. Spanning an area of 365 square meters and comprising ten rooms, the bath features all the characteristic elements of classical Ottoman bath architecture, including its frigidarium, tepidarium, and caldarium sections. Marble benches, decorative elements, and glass apertures in the dome that draw light into the interior are among the structure's most striking architectural details. Reopened to visitors following a successful restoration completed in 2012, the structure today offers a unique window into the washing culture of the Ottoman era. Suitable for family visits, the venue also caters to a wide range of visitors by offering wheelchair access. A brief visit can be combined with an enjoyable stroll along the nearby sea walls. Admission is €5 (full) and €3 (reduced), and the venue is open daily from 08:30 to 15:30, except on Tuesdays.
