Palazzo Giustiniani is a historic architectural marvel located on Chios Island, Greece. Dating back to the 14th and 15th centuries, this impressive palace stands proudly between the main gate of Chios Castle and the city's central square, beautifully showcasing the island's rich Genoese legacy. It is believed to have served as the administrative center for the Genoese rulers (Podesta).
Restored by the Archaeological Service between 1980 and 1986, the palace retains its impressive castle-like appearance. Its unique two-story structure, with a single room on each floor, is particularly noteworthy. Inside, visitors can admire a captivating collection of Byzantine frescoes, Byzantine-era icons, Genoese sculptures, and other small artifacts. Highlights include twelve Byzantine tiles adorned with 13th-century Prophet frescoes and an 18th-century icon of Archangel Michael, originating from Olympi village.

The Armolia - Apolichna Castle Hiking Trail is a scenic route located in southern Chios, Greece. Starting from Armolia village, it leads to the historic Apolichna Castle. Admission is free. This approximately 1,355-meter long trail is clearly marked with red arrows, offering visitors a safe and accessible route. Along the route, hikers will discover plains covered with olive and mastic trees, steep slopes shaded by pine and kermes oaks, and magnificent Aegean vistas.
